The Perform Payment Investigations process supports various inquiries regarding Wire, ACH, drafts, cheques, or real time payments submitted by any client from one of the eight lines of business, including both internal departments as well as external financial institutions. Upon receiving the inquiry the team will investigate the transaction and inquiry to best determine how to assist. The process ends once appropriate actions are taken and resolution has been obtained.
This role directly supports Foreign Exchange (FX) Wire investigations. A multitude of internal and external requests are received such as tracing, recalling, reconciling, and/or returning FX wire payments. In addition, associates are responsible for managing breaks and a multitude of emails.
These individuals work in a fast paced environment that requires case management skills, accuracy, use of logic, multi-tasking, toggling between multiple systems and clearly communicating resolutions in an efficient manner while delivering a great client experience.
Job Description:
Responsible for the day-to-day analysis, research, and resolution of varied problems. Functions include administering defined procedures, analysis and report generation, and exception processing. Coordinates the implementation of products/services and operational solutions. May assist in designing, documenting, implementing, and monitoring of new products/services. Provides guidance to associates within own unit regarding procedural, technical and/or operational changes. Incumbents have full working knowledge of operations environment acquired through experience in an operations environment and on the job training. Individuals typically have 2 to 4 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
Assists with coordination of implementation for products, services, and operational solutions
Supports the design, documentation, implementation, and monitoring of new products and services
Provides guidance regarding procedural, technical, and operational changes
Expands business products knowledge within operations environment
Builds network by developing relationships with partners and teammates
Inspects data to identify issues and trends
Collects and interprets data to validate operational processes
Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Typing and Data entry experience
Case management skills with customer and client focus
Analytical, critical thinking, researching & problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet dead-lines in a changing production environment
Experience with working independently and collaborating on teams
Adaptability, able to work overtime when needed
Desired Skills:
Financial industry experience
Prior wire experience or FX experience
Familiarity with global markets
Experience with mitigating risk and handling of regulatory matters
Policies, procedures, and guidelines management
